QNUK Level 2 Award for Door Supervisors 

This award is for learners over the age of 18.

Who is this qualification for?

This qualification is designed for individuals who want to start working in the private security industry.  Gaining this qualification allows you to apply for an SIA Door Supervisor licence, which would then allow you to operate as a security operative in various different settings including door work, events and static guarding.

How long is the course?

This course is delivered over 6 days in a classroom with pre-course learning minimum 8 hours which can be done at home or alternatively 7 days in a classroom setting, focusing on the 4 units in the course.

Covered topics:

• The importance of safe working practices

• The role and objectives of a door supervisor

• Conflict Management and how to recognise the risk in conflict situations

• Physical intervention training and the use of non-aggressive physical skills to help protect yourself and others.
   

Assessment method:

• Assessed by 4 Multi-Choice Questionnaire papers, Practical Observations, Written Statement & Question and Answer session.

What is required to take the course?

• You need to be over the age of 18 to take this course

• The SIA requires all applicants to hold a minimum of a one day Regulated First Aid qualification, if you do not have your first aid qualification don't worry we also offer First Aid Qualifications and have dates available prior to all courses.

• Applicants must have a minimum of Level 1 Language Skills

• Must have a reasonable level of physical fitness

• Must have a willingness to learn

Successful completion of this course will enable you to apply for a Security Door Supervisor License.
